CHANGING YOUR SKINCARE ROUTINE WITH THE SEASONS

Adapting your skincare routine as the seasons change is a popular skincare trend which is making its way into the mainstream. Both medical professionals, as well as skincare enthusiasts, understand the impacts of the external environment on the health of our skin. You wouldn't wear a coat and scarf during the warm Summer months, so why practice the same skincare routine during winter, as you would throughout summer? Our skin is the largest outermost organ, meaning it is hugely affected by external temperature fluctuations...

Cooler Months

We recommend using a high-quality moisturiser, such as our Moisturiser 3X, to help replace the moisture within the skin which is lost due to exposure to cold air. Contrasting heat levels play havoc with the skin, meaning it is increasingly important to protect the skin from the elements. Central heating levels, in contrast to the cold outdoor air, affects the skin, going from the cold outdoors into a centrally-heated building and vice-versa can take its toll on your complexion, causing the capillaries in the face to contract and expand, leading to broken veins and skin redness.

Unlike most other areas of your skin, your lips contain no oil glands and cannot generate their own hydration, increasing the importance of maintaining your lips moisture. We recommend our famous Flint+Flint Lip Hero to maintain luscious lips. Our Lip Hero is known for being strongly moisturising, it contains Baobab Oil, this particular oil holds almost equal measures of palmitic, oleic and linoleic acids, as well as vitamins A, D and E!

Warmer Months.

It's equally important to protect the skin during summer months as humidity is known to impact hugely upon many skin disorders such as eczema and psoriasis. A high-quality SPF is an essential during the summer months. Spending more time outdoors, with extended exposure to UV rays means it is essential to protect the skin. Sun exposure is responsible for up to 80% of visible facial aging. We recommend our SPF 30 Primer to protect against these harmful UV rays.

Did you know you're able to guess someones aged based on solely on the appearance of their hands? Our SPF 30 Hand Hero is made from natural waxes and has smoothing, skin protecting properties. This SPF has been specifically designed for the hands, it works to form a smooth film on the skin and is effective in reducing Trans Epidermal Water loss, which protects the skin against dehydration.
